What is the best strategy Stock Options to speculate on the M & A?
Let's say a stock, ABC, who believe they can get bought a premium deposit. What is the best strategy to employ? I'm not interested in making small gains. That is, if ABC is a reserve of $ 100 and moves up to $ 3, I will not get any benefit. What I want is the ability to stay in business and look forward to participating in the big mouth. I'm pretty sure theres a strategy option that allows me to do this. Any ideas?
The "best" strategy depends on a number of things that did not specify, including: What is your risk tolerance? How good is managing an options position after being opened? Is it the implied volatility of options (And / or stock price) and high in anticipation of a possible merger? Depending on the answers, some possible strategies include a call backspread (also known as an inverse relationship dissemination of call) which consists of the sale of some calls with a lower strike price and use of funds from the sale to buy more number of calls with an exercise price higher. Backspreads typically remain open for a credit. A long position synthetic stock. This is the sale and purchase an equal number of calls placed with the same exercise price and expiraiton. This provides a large amount of leverage, improving or large losses if the price of action moves significantly. Purchase of the money calls this strategy is most appropriate if the implied volatility is too low (ie less than the amount of volatility out) and wants to limit their potential losses in the amount of your original investment. WARNING: All of these strategies can be hazardous to your financial health, even if fully understand the options, and can be fatal if they do not.
